Clinic Supervisor-School Based Health Center
Location:Lynnwood
Status:Full-Time
Pay Rate:$72,000 based on internal pay equity-$88,600 based on internal pay equity
  
Job Summary
The Clinic Supervisor provides administrative, outreach, and service and partnership coordination and support to the School-based Health Center (SBHC).  The Supervisor serves as the face of the SBHC and is charged with managing processes for patient registration, scheduling, and check-in as well as operating as the main site contact for school partner referrals and coordination, and leads outreach and engagement efforts to increase student, family, school, and community awareness of the SBHC to maximize student utilization.  The Supervisor also manages site inventory for equipment and supplies, including vaccines.  Under leadership of supervisor and in partnership with clinical teams, the Supervisor will support the design and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and clinic operations.

Ability to understand and maintain productivity expectations and generate solutions to overcome any barriers. 
Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills and customer service. 

Preferred:
• Bilingual skills.

Education
• High school graduate or equivalent.

Preferred:
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare related field, or equivalent experience working 2 years of more in a healthcare setting. 

Experience
• Supervisory experience at the department level (2 years).

• Driver's license with the State of Washington.
• Motor vehicle insurance liability policy, a certificate of deposit, or a liability bond to the required limits.

Job Specific Functions/Performance Expectations:
1. Greets patients, families, collaborative partners, and visitors in person and by phone in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner.  Responds to inquiries, takes messages, and provides accurate information regarding schedules and services.
2. Checks in, registers, and schedules patients in the practice management system.  Maintains appointment schedule and follows scheduling policies. 
3. Assists in managing patient flow in a timely and efficient manner. Interfaces with clinical teams regarding walk-in patients, cancellations, and delays to ensure smooth patient flow. 
4. Supports and coordinates processes necessary for site supply of vaccinations including monitoring and reporting of equipment temperature and status, participating in vaccine audits, and ensuring up -to-date record keeping. 
5. Coordinates and leads targeted outreach activities focused on promoting, integrating, and informing students, families, school staff, and the general school community about the SBHC services. 
6. Supports Cross-school referral coordination and serve as primary point of contact for referral and service inquiries from students, families, and other healthcare and basic support service agencies in the community. 
7. Under direction of supervisor, coordinates and/or performs basic educational outreach activities focused on health promotion and health education to students and families. 
8. Serves as a knowledge resource for students, families, and partners, navigate community resources to better understand what to offer patients depending on need, and maintain collaborative partnerships with site and community referring agencies. 
9. Coordinates data collection for reports, audits, and quality reviews as assigned. 
10. Routes or files documents and mail appropriately.
11. Assists with insurance eligibility verification.
12. Orders interpreters and interfaces with outside organizations regarding patient services.
13. Opens and closes clinic for all business hours.
14. Maintains adequate inventory of office supplies, medical and dental supplies, and clinical forms.
15. Performs maintenance and troubleshoot operations of office equipment and machines to include calculators, copiers, fax, printers, etc. 
16. Assists with other departments and locations when called upon. 
17. Adheres to attendance standards in order to perform the job functions for daily operations and /or continuity of patient care. 
18. Coordinates with CHC medical and dental department teams on additional staffing needs to maintain operations at SBHC site(s).

Pay Range $72,000-$88,600 based on internal pay equity
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability insurance and life insurance.  Employees are able to enroll in the 403(b) Safe Harbor retirement plan. Employees will also receive eleven paid holidays and 120 hours of vacation prorated by FTE every twelve months.

We also offer
an additional $0.75/hour for those who test proficiently in a second language.
